Ireland Golf Tour - 10 nights from $5495 per person twin share

07 – 17 July 2019

Ireland is justifiably famous for a number of things – the people, the scenery and the sights. It’s also one of the world’s leading destinations for golf. A golfing trip to the Emerald Isle will not only convince you of Ireland’s golf pedigree, it will also challenge any perceptions you had about the quality of the great game in Ireland. Internationally, Ireland’s commitment to golf was rewarded with the staging of the Ryder Cup 2006, and was also named International Golf Destination of the Year 2004 by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators. With over 400 golf clubs including a third of the world’s natural links courses, and a slew of exceptional championships courses in spectacular locations, it’s no wonder that Ireland attracts over 240,000 golfers from all over the globe each year.

This year, why not join them…
we have put together a fantastic itinerary for the trip to Ireland and have included Ballybunion as well as established favourites such as Druids Glen, Lahinch & Doonbeg – it`s fair to say this is an amazing itinerary which will test your skills and stimulate your senses!.

After breakfast, we will transfer to the famed K Club (The Ryder Cup Course), home of the 2006
Ryder Cup, for Golf (approx. 30 mins drive). It charms, it entices and invariably, brings out the very
best in your game. It is unlikely that you will be asked to tackle the course from the championship
tees, but this should in no way diminish the excitement of pitting your wits against Arnold Palmer,
for, in a sense, this is precisely what you are about to do. Ranked regularly in the top 3 parkland golf
courses in Ireland, this Arnold Palmer designed golf haven is a must play ‘badge of honour’ that has
hosted the top golf players in the world. Apart from the Ryder Cup in 2006, K Club Ryder Cup course
has also hosted the 2016 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open where we saw Rory McIlroy’s European Tour
Shot of the Year and 11 European Opens testify the importance of The Ryder Cup Course to
European Golf. Tee Times: TBA
After golf, you will be transferred back to the Jury’s Inn Christchurch and the rest of your afternoon
& evening is at your leisure.

famous course designed by Pat Ruddy & Tom Craddock, opened in 1995. Just a year after opening,
Druids Glen hosted the Irish Open for four years in a row. Colin Montgomerie won two years
running, followed by David Carter and Sergio Garcia, shooting a 64 in the final round. Druids Glen
has hosted the prestigious Seve Trophy, a bi-annual event between the leading Tour Players of
Britain & Ireland and Continental Europe. (approx. 45mins drive). Tee Time: TBA
After golf you will be transferred back to Jury’s Inn Christchurch Hotel. The rest of the afternoon is

and canoeing enthusiasts from all over the world and Lahinch has earned a reputation as a top ‘surf
centre’ – with surf schools, social life and great atmosphere to boot. We will be staying in Vaughan

to Lahinch Golf Club to check in for your round of 18 holes on the Old Course. Described as “the St
Andrews of Ireland”, this 125 year old golf club is a world class golf course. It is renowned for the
way the links has retained its old virtues but benefitted from the wiliness, over the decades, to move
with the times and now regarded as one of the best and most enjoyable challenges to found
anywhere in the golfing world. Tee time: TBA
After golf, we will transfer you back to the hotel (approx. 5mins drive) (or you can walk the easy
10mins back), the rest of the afternoon & evening is at your leisure.

Day 6 – Friday, 12th July 2019
After breakfast, you have a Free Day to explore County Clare. We will arrange an optional tour to
visit The Burren (approx. 15mins drive) and the Cliffs of Moher (approx. 15mins drive) today.
Depending on the weather, will depend on which direction you will head as you want a fairly clear
day for the Cliffs of Moher (cloudy is ok but not misty). The Burren means ‘the great rock’ and this
moonscape of karst limestone is a World Heritage Site. Between the cracked limestone that
stretches over 250km, you'll find megalithic tombs older than Egypt’s pyramids as well as abundant
flora and fauna. Burren National Park is a place of tranquility and quiet. There are five marked
walking trails in the Park that take you through many different fascinating and beautiful habitats,
such as species rich limestone grasslands, hazel/ash woodlands and limestone pavements.
We will then head back to Vaughan Lodge to warm up in the cocktail lounge and the rest of your

hole championship course spans 1.5 miles of crescent shaped beach and century old sand dunes
along Doughmore Bay. The County Clare, Ireland golf course was officially opened in 2002 and

Trump International Doonbeg was awarded European Golf Resort of the Year by the IAGTO.

After golf, you will have time to have lunch and freshen up before we will be transferred to Killarney
in the heart of Co. Kerry (approx. 2hrs 35mins drive). You will be staying at the family owned
Killarney Lodge which is a large 4-star guesthouse superbly located less than a minute walk from the
town centre and the entrance to Knockreer Park, one of the many entrances to the world famous
Killarney National Park, Killarney Lodge is a home away from home. We will reserve a
Single/Twin/Double room including breakfast daily on your behalf.
The rest of your afternoon & evening is at your leisure.

Day 8 – Sunday, 14th July 2019
After breakfast, you will head north to Tralee Golf Club (approx. 50 mins drive) for your round of
golf. The majestic Tralee Golf Club, designed by Arnold Palmer is known as Arnold Palmer’s Jewel.
This stunning setting represents a true paradise for those willing to challenge what is widely
acclaimed as one of the finest links courses in the world. Tee times: TBA
After Golf, you will be transferred back to Killarney to Killarney Lodge. The rest of your afternoon &
evening is at your leisure.

Day 9 – Monday, 15th July 2019
After breakfast, you have a free day to explore County Kerry. We would highly recommend that you
join in the optional tour today that will take the day to drive around the Ring of Kerry. This is some
of the most beautiful scenery you will find in Ireland. There are so many places to stop and see
along the way. From the dramatic cliffs top views at Glenbeigh, down the coast to the car ferry
across to Valentina Island, take the drive around this stunning island of spectacular views, up to the
Slate Quarry & Grotto, before heading back to the mainland via Ballinskelligs and stop off in
Waterville or Kenmare for a bite to eat before heading on to the stunning Torc Waterfall which is
well worth the 5 minute walk up to see. It is a beautiful drive and even better if you are lucky
enough to get a sunny day. Then head back to Killarney for a pub dinner and lively music.

Day 10 – Tuesday, 16th July 2019
After breakfast, you will be transferred north again to Ballybunion to play your final round on the
Number 1 Golf Course in Ireland the Old Course at Ballybunion Golf Club. Like The Old Course at St.
Andrew’s, Ballybunion Old Course did not require ‘much correction’ when being prepared for its first
major championship event in 1937 and that nature herself could not be surpassed. That’s the
essence of Ballybunion. It is elemental, natural golf amid dunes beside the ocean where all of the
battles are God-made challenges with nature.
Tee times: TBA
(Please Note that there are no carts available on the Old Course and electric trolleys are limited. Caddies are
highly recommended)
After golf, head back to Killarney. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure before you all get
together in the evening for a Farewell Dinner.

Day 11 – Wednesday, 17th July 2019
After breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and bid farewell to your new friends before you make
your way home or on your onward travels. There will be a morning & afternoon set transfer to
Shannon Airport, if required.
